CLEAR, the new surgery to see better without glasses, is now available at CODET Vision Institute. CLEAR, which stands for Corneal Lenticule Extraction for Advanced Refractive Correction, uses Femtosecond laser technology to correct refractive errors such as Myopia and Astigmatism.
Myopia is a common condition where the eye does not focus light correctly, causing blurry vision of distant objects while near objects remain clear. Astigmatism, on the other hand, is characterized by an irregular curvature of the cornea, resulting in distorted vision both up close and far away.

With CLEAR surgery, the top layers of the cornea stay intact. A laser generates two thin bubble layers within the stromal layer of the cornea, creating a disc-shaped piece of corneal tissue called the lenticule. The surgeon gently removes the lenticule through a small incision.
CLEAR represents an option for individuals for whom All-Laser-LASIK is not recommended due to their lifestyle or who suffer from dry eye. Additionally, it is ideal for those seeking a quicker recovery and wishing to return to their usual activities within a few days.
